Lobos Finish Eighth at San Diego State Classic
RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concluded play Tuesday at the San Diego State Classic, with the final round at The Farms Golf Club. The Lobos shot 17-over during final 18 holes to move up to an eighth-place finish at 54-over.
South Carolina won the event with a score of 16-over, one shot better than Virginia at 17-over. Oregon (25-over), Georgia (26-over) and Denver (30-over) rounded out the top five.
Lauren Lehigh had the Lobos’ best round of the day, shooting a 1-under round of 71 to finish T-13th at 8-over. Myah McDonald earned her second top-10 finish of the season, shooting a final round 79 to finish in eighth place at 4-over. Annie Saechueng finished at 21-over, while Maria Caparros Levin and Lisa-Marie Pagliano each finished at 27-over.
The Lobos return to action March 4-5 with the The Show at Spanish Trail in Las Vegas.
