Lobos Host Rams at Noon Saturday
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Lobos return to The Pit to start a two-game homestand on Saturday against Colorado State with tip set for noon.
Saturday’s game will be a Black History Month game with a special performance of Lift Every Voice and Sing by Ella Smith as well as a halftime Greek step show.
UNM enters the game 16-8, 7-4 in the Mountain West with CSU 15-7, 6-5 in the Mountain West. The Lobos are 49-41 all-time against the Rams, 30-13 at home and have won the last seven games played in Albuquerque.

WILSON’S WORLD
Nyah Wilson has made quite the first impression in her first season as a Lobo, finishing in double figures in 18 games, with 20 or more points in nine games, leading the Lobos in scoring in nine games and setting several career highs.
Wilson has scored in double figures in all 11 MW games and has registered multiple steals in five. She’s scored 20-plus points in four of the last five games and led the team in scoring in the last five games.
On the season, she’s scored a team-high 360 points (15.0 ppg) and is third in steals with 27. She is fifth in the MW in points per game and sixth in field goal percentage (.418), and fifth in free-throw percentage (.752). Wilson has made the second-most free throws (91) and taken the second-most free throws (121) amongst MW players. She is currently 41st in the NCAA in free throws and 37th in free throw attempts.
In conference play, Wilson is averaging 18.7 ppg and is third in the MW in scoring as well as fourth in field-goal percentage (.503). The Lobo junior is also tied for 11th in steals per game (1.4) and fifth in free-throw percentage (.738).
SECOND HALF ADJUSTMENTS
The Lobos have flipped a switch in the final 20 minutes in conference, outscoring opponents 202-179 (+23) in the third and 196-192 (+4) in the fourth for a 398-371 (+27) margin in the final two quarters. Three times in conference the Lobos have trailed at the half and won the game (Utah State, Wyoming, UNLV) with the Lobos trailing at the end of the third against Wyoming and UNLV.
ABOUT COLORADO STATE
After the first game against the Rams on Jan. 13, CSU has gone 4-3 and has won its last two games against San Diego State (82-50) and Fresno State (69-56) and three of its last four. In that span, all four wins were at home and all three losses came on the road.
On the season, CSU is 4-5 on the road, 1-4 in conference road games.
The Rams are led in scoring by McKenna Hofschild at 24.3 ppg with the closest Ram averaging 8.5 ppg. In MW games, Hofschild is averaging 26.5 ppg with Sydney Mech also in double figures at 10.5 ppg. Hofschild is averaging 7.0 assists per game in conference with CSU averaging 13.6 as a team.
CSU is averaging 66.5 ppg against conference opponents and allowing 63.0 ppg, and has outscored its opponents in the first three quarters but is being outscored in the fourth (215-173) and overtime (14-11).
