GUADALAJARA, Mexico – The New Mexico women’s golf team concluded play Saturday at its opening event of the spring, the Collegiate Invitational, with the final 27 holes at the Guadalajara Country Club. The Lobos shot 68-over during the event to finish in 12th place.

The tournament, where all 12 teams were ranked in the top 64 nationally, was won by Florida State at 14-over. Tennessee (24-over), SMU (29-over), Georgia (29-over) and Colorado State (35-over) rounded out the top five.

Lauren Lehigh was UNM’s top finisher, carding round of 74-79-74 to finish T-23rd at 11-over. Maria Caparros Levin shot 13-over, Myah McDonald finished at 22-over, Annie Saechueng shot 25-over and Lisa-Marie Pagliano rounded out the lineup at 26-over.

The Lobos return to action Feb. 12-13 when they travel to California for the San Diego State Classic.
