ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico Head Football Coach Danny Gonzales has announced a coaching staff change effective immediately. Jamie Christian, who has served as the special teams coordinator for the past four seasons and was a part of Gonzales’ inaugural staff, has been relieved of his duties.
Special teams duties will be spread out amongst staff members for the remainder of the season.
“I appreciate all of the hard work that Coach Christian has put into the program, but I feel a change in leadership in that area is in order,” said Gonzales.
New Mexico heads to take on Boise State on Saturday at 8 p.m. on FS1.
