Diving Heads to NAU for Weekend Invitational

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The Lobo diving squad heads to Flagstaff, Arizona for the second time this season, this time to take part in the NAU Diving Invitational, held at the Wall Aquatic Center on the campus of Northern Arizona.

Joining the Lobos over the three-day event will be host NAU along with UC Davis, Fresno State, New Mexico State, Grand Canyon, Cal Poly and Idaho.

The meet will be a great chance for a solid Lobo diving squad to take part against a larger pool of competitors in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform.  Alice English, who was earlier this season named MW Diver of the Week, has two wins in two 3-meter competitions with a best mark of 274.35 at NAU earlier this season in a dual meet.  Her teammate Kristen Hepfer also has a 3-meter win, taking the 3-meter against New Mexico State and Western Colorado last weekend with a 264.53 score.

In the 1-meter dive, English will look to pick up a second event win, and better her NCAA Zone qualifying score of 281.80.  She won the event against New Mexico State with a 253.03 score.  Abilgail Bouravnev and Zoe Rinon will also look to continue their improvement over the first part of the season.
