“We’re looking forward to getting Reza to Albuquerque,” commented head coach Mike Bradbury. “She’s a dynamic point guard with exceptional skills.”
From San Bruno, California and Sacred Heart, Po was named West Coast Athletic League honorable mention her sophomore season and following her junior season, was named to the West Coast Athletic League first team and the San Francisco Chronicle Women’s Basketball Player of the Year.
Last season, the newest Lobo averaged 12.2 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, 3.8 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game, while drawing 0.4 charges per game. She shot 49.2% from the floor and 30.4% from three-point range.
On why she chose to be a Lobo, Po stated, “I chose UNM because it felt like home. I love the community, I felt welcomed, and I had a feeling of not wanting to leave when I visited. I also like the campus and how different the environment is from California. The coaching staff, and the team were super cool and I loved the coaching style and how fast they play as well.”
