Lobos Again Fare Well at UTEP on Day 2
EL PASO, Texas — One day after spliting 10 matches, winning four singles and a doubles match, UNM did it again, winning two doubles matches and three singles against host UTEP on the second day of the UTEP Invitational in El Paso.
The Lobos got straight set singles wins from Hsuan Huang, Maud Vandeputte and Sofia Taborga. For Taborga and Huang, it was their second straight singles wins in the tournament after picking up wins yesterday against New Mexico State. In doubles, Bente Vandeputte and Maria Sodre against won, this time winning 6-0, and Hsuan Haung and Maud Vandeputte also earned a win.
The Lobos will face Idaho tomorrow in final day of the UTEP Invitational, a tournament that closes out UNM’s fall season.
