Hoppe/Jhang Advance Again
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah —- Leonie Hoppe and Katherine Jhang continued their strong Mountain Regional play, advancing to the Round of 16 at the ITA Mountain Region Championships.
Additionally, both Maud Vandeputte and Katherine Jhang advanced into the Round of 16 in the main singles draw. Jhang, the No. 12 seed, needed three sets to take down Idaho State’s Sol O Lideadha and Vandeputte won in straight sets over Idaho’s Annabel Davis.
In doubles, Hoppe and Jhang, the No. 2 seed, won 8-4 over Montana State’s Meg McCarty and Jazmin Lerman. Hoppe and Jhang are the defending Mountain Region champions.
