The Lobos broke through in the 68th minute on a free kick outside of the 18-yard box, with Dalton’s initial shot getting saved by the Bronco goalkeeper as Roberts was there for the rebound and immediate shot, putting it in the back of the net for her second goal of the season and Dalton’s third assist of the season.
UNM kept fighting to find the equalizer, creating a chance in the 84th minute with Ellie Robinson sending a ball into the box and Mercedes Morris getting a head on it, but the Lobo was unable to direct the ball on target. Mia Leon was tripped just outside of the box later in the 84th minute with Dalton taking the free kick that was punched away by the Boise State goalkeeper.
