Lobo Women’s Golf Returns to Action at Ron Moore Intercollegiate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team plays its third event of the season this week with a trip to Colorado for the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. The event, hosted by Denver at the DU Golf Club at Highlands Ranch will be held Friday to Sunday at the 6,708-yard, par-72 course.

The tournament will feature one round per day, with 18 holes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Live scoring will be available on BirdieFire.

The tournament has a field of 14 schools, highlighted by right teams ranked in the top 60 of the current Golfweek rankings. The Lobos, ranked No. 58, are joined by No. 11 Vanderbilt, No. 22 Cal, No. 30 Kansas, No. 34 UNLV, No. 44 Oregon State, host No. 52 Denver and No. 56 Colorado. Harvard, San Diego State, Tulane, Washington State Wisconsin and Xavier round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Lauren Lehigh, Myah McDonald, Lisa-Marie Pagliano, Maria Caparros Levin and Ciara Rushmer. Rebecca Galasso will play the event as an individual.

The Lobos are playing the Ron Moore Intercollegiate for the second straight year. UNM posted a T-3rd at last year’s tournament.

New Mexico opened the 2023-24 season with a T-5th place finish at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, its lone home event of the season at the UNM Championship Course, followed by a 12th place finish at the Schooner Fall Classic two weeks ago in Oklahoma.
