Lobo Women's Basketball 2023-24 Schedule Released

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The 2023-24 University of New Mexico women’s basketball schedule features 18 opportunities for fans to see the Lobos in The Pit with nine nonconference home games in addition to nine conference home games.

UNM opens up the season with two exhibitions against Eastern New Mexico (Oct. 22) and Adams State (Oct. 29) before getting into the regular season schedule on Nov. 6 against Texas Southern.

The Lobos travel to Pepperdine for their second game on Nov. 9 to close out the opening week, followed by two home games against Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Commerce on Nov. 12 and Nov. 15, respectively.

UNM heads back on the road to Cancun for a Thanksgiving tournament, the Cancun Challenge, facing Montana State on Nov. 23 and Georgia Tech on Nov. 24.

The end of November begins the start of a six-game homestand with Eastern Illinois (Nov. 28), New Mexico State (Dec. 2), Mississippi Valley State (Dec. 4), Southern Utah (Dec. 7), Hampton (Dec. 10) and Western New Mexico (Dec. 17). The Lobos then close out the nonconference portion of their schedule at Gonzaga on Dec. 22.

Of the nonconference opponents, UNM will face five for the first time in Tarleton State, Georgia Tech, Eastern Illinois, Mississippi Valley State and Hampton, and have a winning record against six.

Conference begins on the road for the Lobos at Nevada on Dec. 30 to close out 2023 and hosts Boise State (Jan. 6) and Utah State (Jan. 10) to start 2024. UNM then has two split weeks, starting on the road at Colorado State (Jan. 13) and hosting Wyoming (Jan. 17) and then head to UNLV (Jan. 20) before facing Fresno State at home (Jan. 24).

The Lobos close January on the road at Air Force (Jan. 27) and San José State (Jan. 31) and open February at home against UNLV on Feb. 3. Following a trip to San Diego State for a midweek game on Feb. 7, the Lobos are home against Colorado State (Feb. 10) and San José State (Feb. 14).

UNM closes with three of the final five games on the road at Boise State (Feb. 21) and at Wyoming (Feb. 24) and host San Diego State (Feb. 28) and Nevada (March 2). For the second-straight year, UNM closes on the road at Fresno State on March 5 and for the third-straight season overall.

Season tickets for the 2023-24 Lobo women’s basketball season are on sale now at GoLobos.com/tickets. Single game tickets will be on sale starting on Oct. 16.

The team will host an open scrimmage at The Pit this Saturday, Oct. 7 at 11 a.m. for fans to get a look at this year’s team.
