Men’s Golf Travels to San Francisco for USF Intercollegiate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team returns to action this week at the USF Intercollegiate in San Francisco. The tournament, hosted by USF, will be held Monday and Tuesday at TPC Harding Park, the par-72, 7091-yard course that hosted the 2020 PGA Championship.

The tournament features two rounds of play on Monday and one round on Tuesday. Live scoring of the event is available on GolfStat.com.

The Lobos will feature a lineup of Matthew Watkins, Carson Herron, Bastien Amat, Oliver Cage and Albert Boneta.  Alvaro Portillo will compete as an individual.

The 14-team consists of the Lobos, along with host USF, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Cal Poly, Denver, Howard, Loyola Marymount, Pacific, Prairie View A&M, Princeton, Santa Clara, San Diego and UC Davis.

It is New Mexico’s second event of the season. The Lobos opened the year with a T-6th finish against an elite field at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate in Scottsdale, Ariz.
