Schedule update: Nevada make-up game set for May 12

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A postponed game between the Nevada and New Mexico baseball teams will be made up when the Lobos host the Wolfpack at the end of the season, as the schedule updates were announced on Saturday.

Nevada is scheduled to visit New Mexico May 12-14 for the final Mountain West Conference home series of the 2023 season for the Lobos. The teams will add one game to the scheduled three-game series, making up for a March 26 postponement in Reno due to weather.

May 12 – 2 p.m. – Game 1
May 12 – Immediately following Game 1 – Makeup game for March 26 (Nevada plays as the home team)
May 13 – 6 p.m. – Game 2
May 14 – Noon – Game 3

The series was originally scheduled to begin with a 6 p.m. first pitch on May 12, as the teams will now play a 2 p.m. doubleheader that day to fit in the postponed game. The start time on May 13 was originally scheduled for 2 p.m., but was pushed back to 6 p.m. to accommodate for the NMAA state playoffs taking place at Santa Ana Star Field.

Only one ticket is required for entry into Friday’s doubleheader, and previously purchased tickets for the 6 p.m. start on May 12 will be honored for admission to the 2 p.m. doubleheader.

New Mexico (18-15, 6-9 MW) is back in action on Sunday with a doubleheader at Air Force.
