2023-24 Spirit Squad Tryout Info

The 2023-2024 UNM Spirit Program Tryouts will consist of a first round video submission for rookies and a second-round/final cut in-person the weekend of April 28.

There are three steps for our tryout process:

Step 1: Application – due 4/14/23 at 11:59PM

All Applicants (All Girl Cheer, Coed Cheer, Lobo Dance Team, Louie and Lucy Lobo) must fill out the Application Form list here:

Application and fee are due by Friday, April 14th at 11:59PM.

Step 2: Fee – due 4/14/23 at 11:59PM

Tryout fee:  ($60 – Rookies & $30 – Vets)

Application and fee are due by Friday, April 14th at 11:59PM.

Step 3: Video Submission (Rookies Only) due 4/16/23 at 11:59PM

Once you have submitted your application and sent your receipt to unmspirit@unm.edu, you will receive the requirements for the video submission within 1 business day. We highly encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible to receive video submission details.  Video submissions will be evaluated within three business days of submission. We highly encourage you to attend our final Spring Recruitment Clinic if you are in need of video content.

Video submissions are due by April 16th at 11:59PM. 

Important Dates:

Application & Fee:  Due April 14 by 11:59PM MST
Rookie Video Submission: April 16 by 11:59PM MST
First Round Cuts Made: Within three business days of Video Submission (latest of April 19th)
Final In-Person Tryout: April 28 through April 30
