ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A forecast of high winds on Tuesday evening prompted the scheduled game between the New Mexico baseball team and host New Mexico State to be rescheduled, announced team officials on Monday.

The game was scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Presley Askew Field in Las Cruces, and it will now be played on May 16 at 6 p.m. at the same location. The teams are also scheduled to square off on April 18 in Las Cruces and May 2 in Albuquerque. The Aggies claimed the first of four games between the teams 2-0 on March 21 at Santa Ana Star Field.

New Mexico (15-11, 5-6 Mountain West) jump back into action this weekend with a three-game series against San Jose State set to begin on Thursday at Santa Ana Star Field.
