ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team returns to action Monday-Tuesday as it travels to Las Vegas for The Show at Spanish Trail. The event, hosted by UNLV, will be at the 6,507-yard, par-72 Spanish Trail Country Club.
The tournament will play 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Live scoring of the event will be on Golfstat.com.
This year’s tournament features 15 schools, including 11 teams ranked currently in the GolfStat top 75. The Lobos, at No. 59, are joined by No. 6 Mississippi State, No. 26 Kent State, No. 30 Pepperdine, No. 47 Purdue, No. 49 Denver, No. 52 Furman, No. 56 Nevada, host No. 68 UNLV, No. 69 South Florida and No. 75 Old Dominion. Charlotte, North Florida, Texas State and Washington State round out the field.
New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Lauren Lehigh, Chloe Lauer, Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Myah McDonald and Maria Caparros Levin. Lisa-Marie Pagliano is playing the event as an idividual.
The event is the sixth of the season for New Mexico. The Lobos finished in the top three at two of their four events of the fall, including at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate, where Lertsadwattana won the individual title. Last week, New Mexico opened the spring schedule with a seventh place finish at the San Diego State Classic.
