Lobos Finish Seventh at San Diego State Classic

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – The New Mexico women’s golf team opened concluded play Tuesday at the San Diego State Classic with the final round of play at The Farms Golf Club. The Lobos shot 29-over during the third round to finish the event in seventh place at 66-over.

Iowa State won the event at 33-over, four shots ahead of Georgia at 37-over. Denver was third at 45-over, followed by Houston (54-over), UNLV (55-over), Oregon State (60-over) and the Lobos.

Chloe Lauer shot the low round of the day for the Lobos with a 4-over 76. She finished T-17th on the individual leaderboard at 14-over. Lauren Lehigh also finished at 14-over, after a final round 79. Jenny Lertsadwattana and Myah McDonald each shot 81 on Tuesday, while Lisa-Marie Pagliano rounded out the lineup with an 83.

The Lobos return to action Feb. 20-21 at The Show at Spanish Trail in Las Vegas, Nev.
