by Steve Kirkland

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The No. 21 New Mexico men’s basketball team concludes a two-game road trip Tuesday night with a visit to Fresno State. Game time at the Save Mart Center is 9:00 p.m. MT (8 p.m. PT) and the game will air on CBS Sports Network and the Lobo Radio Network.

The Lobos (14-0, 2-0 MW) are one of two remaining unbeaten teams nationally and moved up one place in the Associated Press poll this week. New Mexico is coming off an 76-75 victory at Wyoming on New Year’s Eve, as Jamal Mashburn, Jr. scored 20 points, including the go-ahead free throws with 17.7 seconds left. Josiah Allick had his first double-double as a Lobo with 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds against the Cowboys.

Fresno State enters the game with a 5-8 record and a 1-1 record in Mountain West play. The Bulldogs have opened the conference schedule with a home victory over Wyoming and a road loss at Utah State. Jemari Baker, Jr. leads Fresno State in scoring at 11.8 points per game.

The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 20-17, including a 15-4 record in Fresno. Fresno State has won the last six overall meetings and the last seven meetings at the Save Mart Center.

New Mexico will return home for a two-game homestand following the Fresno State game. The Jan. 7 game against UNLV is already sold out, but tickets remain for the Jan. 9 non-conference matchup with Oral Roberts.
