Lobos Conclude Non-Conference Play Tuesday Against Prairie View A&M
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The New Mexico men’s basketball team concludes its non-conference schedule Tuesday night by hosting Prairie View A&M. Game time at The Pit is 7:00 p.m. and the game will air on the Mountain West Network and the Lobo Radio Network.
Tuesday night’s game will have a holiday theme and fans are encouraged to wear their favorite ugly Christmas sweater. Santa Claus and the Grinch will be making appearances and there will be free candy canes for fans while supplies last.
Tickets for the game start at $15, but it is also the first game of the four-game holiday package. For $60, fans can get a ticket for upcoming games against Prairie View A&M (Dec. 20), Colorado State (Dec. 28), UNLV (Jan. 7) and San Jose State (Jan. 17).
The Lobos (11-0) are one of five remaining unbeaten teams nationally and are coming off an 82-74 victory over Iona on Sunday at The Pit. With a victory on Tuesday, the Lobos would complete an undefeated non-conference schedule for just the fourth time in program history (1933-34, 1972-73, 1995-96; not including 4-0 in the COVID-shortened 2020-21 non-conference schedule).
Prairie View A&M is 4-7 this season and is looking to snap a five-game losing streak. The Panthers opened the season with three straight home wins, including a 70-59 victory over Washington State.
The Lobos’ three-game homestand concludes on Dec. 28 when the Lobos host Colorado State in the Mountain West opener.
