ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Lobo women’s basketball team hosts Fort Lewis College in their final exhibition before the regular season on Thursday at 7 p.m.

UNM won its first exhibition on Saturday against West Texas A&M with four Lobos finishing in double figures, whereas the Skyhawks have played two games thus far against Utah State and Utah Valley.

Fort Lewis has been led in scoring in both games by Kelsey Sorenson, who has been the only Skyhawk to reach double figures in both games. Against the Aggies, the forward finished with 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the 74-45 loss. She also led the team against Utah Valley with a game-high 15 points, with five points coming from the free-throw line, in its 57-48 loss. Lanae Billy has been the second-leading scorer in both games with seven and eight points, respectively, coming off of the bench in both games.

Both of the Skyhawks’ opponents finished with seven made three-pointers, which bodes well for the Lobos who made eight in their game against West Texas A&M. Three Lobos finished with two three-pointers against the Lady Buffs with five players making at least one three-pointer.

Following Thursday’s exhibition, the Lobos open the regular season on the road at Southern Utah on Monday, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

Season tickets for the 18-game home women’s schedule start at $110, with chairback seating starting at $220. Fans can purchase single game and season tickets online at GoLobos.com/tickets or in person at the University Arena Ticket Office.
