SAN MARCOS, Texas – The New Mexico women’s golf team concluded play Monday at the Jim West Challenge with the final round of play at Kissing Tree Golf Club. The Lobos shot 7-over during the final 18 holes to finish in 13th place at 24-over.
Oklahoma State won the event at 9-under, just ahead of SMU at 7-under. Houston was third at 3-under and Texas Tech was fourth at 1-under.
Jenny Lertsadwattana was the Lobos’ top finisher for the third straight event this season, shooting a final round 73 to finish at 3-over. Lauren Lehigh also shot 73 on Monday, while Myah McDonald shot 74, Annie Saechueng shot 75 and Maria Caparros Levin rounded out the lineup with a 78.
The Lobos conclude their fall schedule next week with the a trip to Florida for the Hurricane Invitational, hosted by Miami. The event is Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at Biltmore Golf Course.
