ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s soccer team concludes a two-game road trip on Sunday with a visit to Utah State. The Lobos and Aggies will kick-off at 1:00 p.m. at the Bell Soccer Field in a game that will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.
The Lobos (7-3-6, 5-1-3 MW) enter the game on a five-game unbeaten streak that has moved them to the top of the Mountain West standings. UNM opened the road trip with a 2-0 victory at Boise State on Thursday as Karlee Maes and Leilani Baker scored. Baker, the reigning Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, has scored in three straight games.
The Aggies (7-5-6, 4-3-2 MW) are coming off a 0-0 scoreless draw at home Thursday against San Diego State. Utah State enters the game tied for fourth place in the Mountain West, four points behind the Lobos.
New Mexico leads the all-time series 8-2-2, including a 3-1-1 record in Logan. The Lobos won both matchups last season in overtime, 2-1 in Albuquerque in the regular season and 2-1 in Boise in the Mountain West Tournament semifinals. Utah State won the last meeting in Logan, 1-0, in the 2021 spring season.
