ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s soccer team continues a four-game homestand on Sunday by hosting San Jose State. The Lobos and Spartans will kick-off at 1:00 p.m. at the UNM Soccer Complex in a game that will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.

The Lobos (4-3-5, 2-1-2 MW) are coming off a 3-1 home victory over Fresno State on Thursday. Leilani Baker had two first-half goals to notch her first multi-goal game of her career, while Zaria Katesigwa added a second-half goal. New Mexico is tied for third place in the Mountain West standings, just two points behind conference-leading San Diego State.

The Spartans (3-5-4, 2-2-1 MW) are coming off a 2-0 loss at San Diego State on Thursday. San Jose State is one of four teams in a fifth place tie in the Mountain West standings with seven points.

San Jose State leads the all-time series 8-3-3, including a 3-1-0 record in Albuquerque. The Spartans have won the last four regular season meetings, including 1-0 win last season in San Jose. New Mexico last beat SJSU in the semifinals of the 2019 Mountain West Tournament, a 1-0 overtime win in Boise.

The four-game homestand continues on Thursday when the Lobos host UNLV. Game time for that contest is 7:30 p.m.
