ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s soccer team concludes a two-game road trip on Sunday with a visit to Colorado College. The Lobos and Tigers will kick-off at 1:30 p.m. at Stewart Field in a game that will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.
The Lobos (3-2-5, 1-0-2 MW) enter the game on a five-game unbeaten streak after a 2-0 victory at Air Force on Thursday night. New Mexico is tied for second in the Mountain West standings and one of three teams still unbeaten in conference play. Jadyn Edwards had a goal and an assist in the win over the Falcons and leads the conference with seven goals and 16 points this season.
The Tigers (3-4-3, 0-1-2 MW) are coming off a 3-3 draw with San Diego State on Thursday night where they led 3-0 after 26 minutes before allowing the Aztecs to come back to earn a draw. Adelaide Gaffney leads Colorado College with four goals this season.
New Mexico leads the all-time series 11-7-0, including a 4-3-0 record in Colorado Springs. UNM has won the last seven meetings in the series, including a 2-0 victory in Albuquerque last season when Edwards had a goal and an assist.
New Mexico returns home to open a four-game homestand on Thursday when it hosts Fresno State at the UNM Soccer Complex.
