ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s soccer team opens a two-game road trip on Thursday with a visit to Air Force. The Lobos and Falcons will kick-off at 7:00 p.m. at the Cadet Soccer Stadium in a game that will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.
The Lobos (2-2-5, 0-0-2 MW), enter the game on a four-game unbeaten streak after a 1-1 draw against Colorado State on Sunday. It marked the third straight game that New Mexico rallied from a second-half deficit to earn a draw as Karlee Maes scored her first goal of the season in the tie against the Rams. Jadyn Edwards leads UNM with six goals and 13 points, both ranking second in the Mountain West.
The Falcons (4-3-2, 1-0-1 MW) opened conference play with a scoreless draw at San Jose State and a 3-1 win at Fresno State. Raine Komata and Jenna Rubidoux lead Air Force with two goals each.
New Mexico leads the all-time series 18-10-1, including a 7-5-0 record in Colorado Springs. UNM has won the last three meetings in the series, including a 2-1 victory last year in Albuquerque.
New Mexico concludes its two-game trip to Colorado Springs on Sunday with a visit to Colorado College. Game time is 1:30 p.m. and the game will be on the Mountain West Network.
