Howard Earns Third Career CoSIDA Academic All-District Honor

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— New Mexico outfielder Andrea Howard has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball Team.

Thursday’s announcement marks Howard’s third time being named All-District, with the Albuquerque native named First Team Academic All-American in 2021 and a Second Team Academic All-American in 2019.

A 4.00 student-athlete double majoring in biology and psychology, Howard was one of four outfielders chosen to the District 7 team that comprises student-athletes from Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.

All-District members from each of the eight NCAA Division I districts advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot, with first‐, second‐ and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees announced in June.
