NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Mexico women’s track and field dropped a couple spots to No. 12 in week 5 of the USTFCCCA’s National Rating Index. The Lobos were previously ranked at No. 9 last week.

With Tianna Holmes’ time of 52.89 in the 400m dash at the LSU Alumni Gold meet on April 23, she placed 39th on the national qualifying list and earned .30 more points towards the Lobos’ rating.

Many other schools found many qualifying marks and times this past week, therefore the Lobos fell a few spots but still remain in the top-15.

The Lobos will head to Standford, Calif., for the Payton Jordan Invitational on April 29, as well as Fresno, Calif., for the Fresno State Invite on April 30.
