CANYON, Texas – Two Lobos, Victoria Plummer and Emily Ho, completed competition at the Jo Meaker Classic, hosted by West Texas A&M, as they finished the final three events of the heptathlon.
Plummer ended the heptathlon with 4327 points and a fourth-place finish, while Ho ended the heptathlon with 3778 points and a sixth-place finish. Plummer set a personal best in javelin with a mark of 23.89, beating her previous best by nearly two whole meters. Ho also set a personal best in javelin with a mark of 27.31, a meter better than her previous high. Ho broke her 800m personal best with a time of 2:29.49, beating her previous best of 2:29.61.
The Lobos will head to the Golden State for two meets next week. The team will compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., on April 13-15 and the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., on April 13-16.
