Pair of Lobos Complete Day One of Jo Meaker Classic

CANYON, Texas – Two Lobos from the University of New Mexico track & field team completed day one of the heptathlon at the Jo Meaker Classic on Friday. Emily Ho and Victoria Plummer finished the first four events (100m hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200m dash) of the heptathlon. The last three events (long jump, javelin throw and 800m) will begin on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. (MT).

Victoria Plummer finished the day in third place with 2806 points. She set a new personal best in 100m hurdles, shot put and 200m dash. Emily Ho finished the day with 2176 points.

The last three events of the heptathlon (long jump, javelin throw and 800m) will begin on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

The Lobos will head to the Golden State for two meets next week. The team will compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., on April 13-15 and the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., on April 13-16.
