ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team returns to action this weekend as it plays in the Aggie Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M. The tournament will run Saturday-Sunday at the 7,227-yard, par-72 Traditions Club, which will host a NCAA Regional next month.

The tournament will consist of two rounds on Saturday and one round on Sunday. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

This year’s tournament features a field of 12 schools, including six ranked in the GolfStat Top 50. The Lobos, ranked No. 32 nationally in the latest GolfStat rankings, will compete against No. 7 Texas Tech, No. 10 Arkansas, No. 23 Texas Tech, No. 40 Louisville and No. 43 Little Rock. Baylor, Houston, Kent State, North Texas, Northern Illinois and UTSA round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Sam Choi, Brandon Shong, Matthew Watkins, Bastien Amat and Carson Herron. Connor Adams will compete as an individual.

The Lobos are coming off a ninth place finish at the Hootie at Bulls Bay two weeks ago in South Carolina.
