ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team makes its first trip of the season to the east coast to play in the Hootie at Bulls Bay, hosted by South Carolina.The tournament will run Sunday-Tuesday at the 7,220-yard, par-72 Bulls Bay Golf Club, located just outside of Charleston.

The tournament will consist of one round of play each day. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

This year’s tournament features a field of 16 schools, including nine ranked in the GolfStat Top 50. The Lobos, ranked No. 27 nationally in the latest GolfStat rankings, will compete against No. 13 Auburn, No. 22 Ole Miss, No. 23 Purdue, No. 28 East Tennessee State, No. 29 South Carolina, No. 35 NC State, No. 44 Kent State and No. 48 College of Charleston. Furman, Iowa State, Kentucky, Limestone, Missouri, West Virginia and Wisconsin round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Sam Choi, Brandon Shong, Bastien Amat, Carson Herron and Matthew Watkins. Connor Adams will compete as an individual.

The Lobos are coming off a sixth place finish against an elite field at the National Invitational in Arizona.
