PHOENIX, Ariz. – The New Mexico women’s golf team plays their second straight event in Arizona this weekend as it travels to Phoenix for the PING/ASU Invitational. The tournament, hosted by Arizona State, will be held at the 6,426-yard, par-72 Papago Golf Course.

The tournament will run Friday-Sunday, with one round played each day. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

The 16-team field includes 11 teams currently ranked in the top 50 of the Golfstat rankings, including five of the top 10. The Lobos, ranked No. 56 nationally, will be competing against No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 Oregon, No. 7 Virginia, No. 8 and host Arizona State, No. 10 Michigan, No. 15 UCLA, No. 19 Baylor, No. 25 Arizona, No. 36 Oregon State, No. 40 Washington and No. 45 Northwestern. Colorado, Denver, Harvard and San Diego State round out the elite field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Myah McDonald, Lauren Lehigh, Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Myah McDonald, Lauren Lehigh, Caroline Jansson and Chloe Lauer.

The Lobos are coming off a 7th-place finish at the Clover Cup in Arizona two weeks ago. McDonald led UNM with a T-6th finish and earned Mountain West Golfer of the Week honors.
