MESA, Ariz. – The New Mexico women’s golf team plays their second tournament of the week as it travels to Arizona for the Clover Cup. The tournament, hosted by Notre Dame, will be held at the 6,184-yard, par-72 Longbow Golf Club.
The tournament will run Friday-Sunday, with one round played each day. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.
The 17-team field includes eight teams currently ranked in the top 50 of the Golfstat rankings. The Lobos, ranked No. 63 nationally, will be competing against No. 17 LSU, No. 20 Texas A&M, No. 27 Kentucky, No. 29 TCU, No. 30 Georgia, No. 40 North Carolina, No. 42 Clemson and No. 48 East Tennessee State. Host Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Kansas State, Mercer and Oklahoma round out the field.
New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Myah McDonald, Lauren Lehigh, Chloe Lauer and Caroline Jansson. It is the same lineup that competed earlier this week at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas.
The Lobos are coming off a third-place finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational. It was tied for the best finish of the season for New Mexico, who also finished third when hosting the season-opening Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational.
