The Lobos (12-18, 4-12) are coming off a 71-68 loss at Fresno State on Monday night. Jamal Mashburn, Jr. scored 27 points against the Bulldogs, his 13th 20-point game of the season. He is one of two players in the Mountain West to score in double figures in every conference game this season.

UNLV (18-12, 10-7) has won four of its last five games, including Wednesday’s 64-57 home win over Wyoming. The Runnin’ Rebels are led by Bryce Hamilton, the Mountain West’s top scorer at 21.6 points per game. Hamilton is the other player in the conference to score in double figures every league game this season.

It is the second meeting of the season between the teams as the Runnin’ Rebels won the first meeting 85-56 on Jan. 11 in Las Vegas. KJ Jenkins scored a career-high 26 points in that contest.

The Lobos will travel to Las Vegas next week for the Mountain West Tournament. New Mexico will be the No. 9 seed and play No. 8 seed Nevada in the opening round on Wednesday at noon MT (11 am PT).
