ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s basketball team concludes the road portion of its regular season schedule on Monday night with a visit to Fresno State. Tipoff at the Save Mart Center is 8:00 p.m. MT (7:00 p.m. PT) and the game will be broadcast on FS1 and the Lobo Radio Network.
The Lobos (12-17, 4-11) are looking to build on a record that has seen them double both their overall wins and Mountain West wins from a season ago. New Mexico is coming off a 69-65 victory over Air Force on Saturday at The Pit, completing a season sweep of the Falcons. Jamal Mashburn, Jr. had 24 points in the win, his 12th 20-point game of the season, and continues to be one of two players in the Mountain West to score in double figures every game this season.
Fresno State (17-10, 7-7) hasn’t played since Tuesday, a 65-40 win at Air Force that snapped a four-game losing streak. The Bulldogs are led by Orlando Robinson, who ranks sixth in the Mountain West in scoring at 18.4 points per game and fourth in rebounds ay 8.0 per game.
Fresno State leads the all-time series 19-17, including a 14-4 record in Fresno. The Bulldogs have won the last five meetings overall, including a 65-60 victory at The Pit on Jan. 25 of this season. In that game, Fresno State led by 17 early in the second half before the Lobos got within two in the final minutes. New Mexico is looking for its first win at the Save Mart Center since 2016.
Following the game, the Lobos will conclude the regular season on Saturday night when they host UNLV. Game time at The Pit is 9 p.m. and the game will air on FS1.
