ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — After a 2-0 weekend taking down Santa Clara and Grand Canyon, the Lobos have another big weekend and another big test.  The Lobos will host two with BYU, facing the Cougars Friday at 3 pm and then again on Saturday at noon.  On Sunday, the Lobos will host the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at noon. All three matches are scheduled to be played at McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.

The Cougars will enter the match with a 2-1 record while Northern Arizona is 6-3 on the year.

Last week the Lobos got a big week from Arda Azkara, who won both of his matches at No. 1 singles to earn Mountain West Player of the Week and Mountain West Freshman of the Week.  Azkara’s two singles wins were his first two singles wins of the spring season as he moved to No. 1 after the opening week.  Georgia Samaha also swept his singles matches, as did Alex Maggs, Rafael Abdulsalam and Jan Pucalka.

Friday’s match is New Mexxico True Day, with the first 30 fans getting free chips and salsa.  On Saturday, it’s Student Appreciation Day with students getting pencil pouches, and on Sunday it’s Love Your Pet Day as fans are invited to bring their furry friends to McKinnon.  Pet toys will be given out between doubles and singles.
