LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The New Mexico women’s golf team begins its spring schedule as it travels to Las Vegas for The Show at Spanish Trail. The tournament, hosted by UNLV and Furman, will be held at the 6,402-yard, par-72 Spanish Trail Country Club.
The first two rounds of the tournament will be played on Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. PT. The final round will be Tuesday, starting with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.
The 15-team field includes 11 teams currently ranked in the top 100 of the Golfstat rankings. The No. 60 Lobos will be looking to move up the rankings as there are four teams in the field ahead of them: No. 42 Washington, No. 43 Furman, No. 44 UNLV and No. 59 North Florida. Augusta, Cal Poly, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, James Madison, Nevada, Old Dominion, UC Irvine and UC Davis round out the field.
New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Myah McDonald, Lauren Lehigh, Annie Saechueng and Chloe Lauer. Lisa-Marie Pagliano will play the event as an individual.
The Lobos played four tournaments during the fall portion of their schedule, highlighted by a third-place finish at their home event, the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational.
The trip to Spanish Trail is an annual stop on the Lobos’ schedule. Last season, New Mexico finished in fifth place at the course.
