Diving Squad Heads to Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The University of New Mexico diving squad will head to Colorado Springs to compete against both Air Force and Colorado State at Cadet Natatorium.
The meet was original a double dual meet with all three Mountain West schools competing at the same time, but due to COVID health and safety protocols within the program, only the Lobo diving team will compete at this weekend’s meet.
The Lobos are 3-2 on the season and coming off a 129-106 win at San Diego that ironically saw the Lobos win despite only the swimmers competing. UNM will get scores in the diving events, but no team scores between UNM and its opponents will be kept.
UNM’s next scheduled meet is slated for Friday, January 28 at New Mexico State. The Lobos are 3-2 on the season.
