Lobo Football Banquet Set for Dec. 11, Tables Going Fast
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Since Danny Gonzales returned as head coach of the New Mexico Lobos, he has worked to reinvigorate some of the traditions that the program had during his first run at UNM, as a player from 1994-98 and then on Rocky Long’s staff from 1999-2008.
The return of the end-of-year Lobo Football banquet is another step in that direction. The 2021 banquet will take place on Saturday, December 11 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, located just off I-25 at Exit 225. Tables have been going fast and the Embassy Suites has added a few more tables to help keep up with demand.
Tickets are now open for the general public to purchase. Seats go for just $60, and it’s a great way to get up-close with the Lobo staff and the 2021 senior class, which will be honored at the banquet. Robert Portnoy will serve as emcee, and he will announce the 2021 award winners.
Tables are extremely limited at this point, but available for $600.
