The Lobos (2-1) are looking to remain unbeaten at home this season following an 86-61 victory over Grambling State on Monday night. Jaelen House leads the Mountain West in steals (4.0 per game) and is second in the conference in scoring (23.3 ppg) and assists (5.7 apg). The Bobcats (1-2), one of the favorites in the Big Sky this season, are coming off a 91-74 loss at South Dakota State on Wednesday. Montana State and New Mexico have already played one common opponent this season, Colorado in Boulder, with the Bobcats losing in overtime, 94-90, in the season opener and the Lobos falling 87-76 to the Buffaloes four days later.

New Mexico has won the only previous meeting between the schools, a 91-46 victory at The Pit in 2011-12 as Tony Snell scored 24 points to lead UNM.

After Saturday’s game, the Lobos conclude the homestand on Monday night against Western New Mexico.
