ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — UNM has had a week to get ready, and Sunday its time to let practice pay off.  UNM returns to the pitch for the final home non-conference match as the squad hosts its second straight Pac-12 program, this the Washington Huskies.  The Lobos and Huskies will kick at noon at the UNM Soccer Complex.  Masks are not required at the outdoor facility.  The game will also be live streamed on golobos.com/watch.

The Lobos are coming off a 3-0 home loss to Oregon State, a match in which even though UNM was outshot 18-9, played well, especially in the first half.  The Lobos got the short end of the luck when two of the three goals clanged off the underside of the crossbar and bounced just over the line for goals.  UNM had several good opportunities to tie early, but couldn’t quite pierce the nets.

Washington is 1-3 on the season, and the Huskies are coming off a 1-0 loss at home to Portland.  Washington’s lone win on the season came in a 1-0 home win over Loyola Marymount.

UNM has been led offensively by Zaria Katesigwa, who has a team-best two goals on the season.  UNM has used two keepers, with Malia Vanisi 1-1 with a 1.00 GAA and Emily Johnson 0-1 with a 3.00 GAA.
