Women’s Tennis Downed in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. — The University of New Mexico lost its third straight match, falling on the road to the host San Diego State Aztecs 4-0. UNM takes on UNLV at 1 p.m. Mountain Time in San Diego.
The Lobos dropped the doubles point to fall behind early, and then took two opening sets as singles started. Hsuan Huang playing at No. 3 took a 6-2 opening set win and Myu Kageyama at No. 4 took a 7-6 (8-6) win to get UNM in contention, but the Aztecs took straight set wins at No. 1, 2 and 6 to claim the win.
New Mexico fell to 7-5 overall and 1-3 in the Mountain West while San Diego State improved to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the league.
