Molina West Earn No. 59 National Ranking

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The latest ITA Rankings and have come out and heading into conference play, the Lobos will have a nationally-ranked duo playing in the top doubles slot.  The doubles team of Sergio Molina and Dominic West were ranked No. 59, breaking into the national top-80 rankings for doubles teams.

The duo is 6-2 this season playing at both No. 2 and No. 1 doubles.  The tandem is a perfect 4-0 against nationally-ranked teams, helping UNM to the doubles point in six of its 10 matches.  In their last outing, playing at No. 1 against No. 22 Texas Tech, Molina and West picked up a 7-6 (7-5) win.

UNM opens conference play as the defending champions on Thursday at 11 am against Fresno State.  That match will take place at McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium at 11 a.m.
