Salcido named MW Track Athlete of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — After garnering two first-place finishes at the UNLV Spring Opener, redshirt-senior Carlos Salcido has been named the Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week.

Salcido set an outdoor regular season-best in the men’s 400m race, finishing at a time of 47.73 and in first place. The redshirt-senior also participated in the 4×400 alongside Jay Griffin, Montez Wright, and Gavin Sleeter, earning first place at a time of 3:17.44.
