ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Head Football Coach Danny Gonzales has announced that Clovis High running back Jeston Webskowski has been signed for the 2021 season. He becomes the fifth New Mexico high school student-athlete signed for the 2021 class by Gonzales and his staff.
Webskowski joins Ja’Shon Lowery (Albuquerque’s La Cueva HS), Larry Luna (Roswell’s Goddard HS), Luke Wysong (Rio Rancho’s Cleveland HS) and his current Clovis teammate Jaden Phillips.
Due to COVID-19, Webskowski’s senior season has not happened yet, but he was a rushing machine in 2019, his junior season. He rushed for 1,713 yards in 12 games, averaging 142.8 yards per game, and he rushed for 27 touchdowns. He also caught 35 passes for 516 yards and four more scores. He also averaged 25.7 yards per kickoff return.
In 2019 Clovis under coach Cal Fullerton went 8-4 and made it to the state semifinals, losing a wild shootout 56-43 to Cleveland. Webskowski was named First Team All-State at running back, and he is one of Lobos to be named to that team, joining Keith Alvarado and Isaiah Chavez.
Clovis was the No. 2 seed in the state 6A playoffs.
While at Clovis, he has also lettered in baseball and track and field.
