ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team is looking to bounce back after three straight losses on Saturday as it hosts the Wyoming Cowboys at 4 p.m. Mountain Time on Facebook. The Lobos hope to have a pair of starters returning to the lineup in redshirt-senior JaQuan Lyle and redshirt-junior Vance Jackson for Saturday’s matchup.

The Lobos (16-8, 5-6 MW) head into Saturday’s game after a bye week while Wyoming (6-18, 1-11 MW) took on Boise State at home on Tuesday. Both teams are riding a losing skid with UNM just 1-5 over its last six games and the Cowboys 1-9 over their last 10.

Despite recent roster woes and three straight losses, the Lobos look to continue one of their best home starts in program history on Saturday as UNM is 13-1 inside Dreamstyle Arena – The Pit this season. The Lobos’ lone loss at home came in their last matchup in Albuquerque, against No. 4 San Diego State on Jan. 29.

UNM is led offensively on the season by Lyle who posts 17.1 points per game. Lyle has been out the last four contests and has not seen the court since Jan. 18 when the Lobos fell on the road at UNLV. While Lyle has been out, a pair of Lobos have stepped up to score for UNM including redshirt-junior Keith McGee, who has scored 10+ points in each of the last four games including a season-best 18 points against Fresno State Saturday. McGee went a career-best 6-for-9 from behind the arc against the Bulldogs.

Redshirt-junior Zane Martin has also taken up a new role putting the ball in the basket. In the last four Lobo contests, Martin has averaged 17.25 points per game after averaging 9.65 on the season until that point.

Wyoming is led by redshirt-sophomore Hunter Maldonado who is the only Cowboy to average double figures on the season (16.8 ppg).
