ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico is poised for its final regular-season road trip of 2019-20 with a meeting against the Air Force Falcons in Colorado on Wednesday at 7 p.m. MT. The Lobos enter the contest seventh in the Mountain West standings while Air Force is just two spots behind in ninth. The game will air live on ESPN3.

UNM (17-12, 6-10 MW) enters Wednesday’s game coming off of a short turnaround after falling at Boise State on Sunday afternoon. The Lobos are 1-7 over their last eight contests while Air Force (10-18, 4-12 MW) is 1-9 over its last 10.

Air Force posts a record of 7-7 at home in Clune Arena while UNM enters the venue 2-8 in road contests this season.

The last time the two teams faced off was on Jan. 11 inside Dreamstyle Arena – The Pit. UNM claimed an 84-78 victory to defend its unbeaten home streak 12-0. Five Lobos scored in double figures led by redshirt-senior JaQuan Lyle who racked up 20 points.

UNM is led in conference play by four active players scoring in double figures including redshirt-senior JaQuan Lyle (14.2), senior Corey Manigault (13.6) and redshirt-juniors Vance Jackson (12.8) and Zane Martin (11.5). Jackson is also the teams’ leading rebounder with 5.8 rebounds per game in Mountain West play.

Air Force is led by three players in double figures in league competition including seniors Lavelle Scottie (17.6) and Ryan Swan (12.5) as well as sophomore A.J. Walker (10.6). Swan is also the teams’ leading rebounder with 6.0 per game in MW play.

Head coach Paul Weir is 50-45 in his third year at the helm of the Lobos, 78-51 in his fourth season as a head coach. Air Force head coach Dave Pilipovich is 108-149 in his eighth season at the helm of the Falcons, the same in his career.
