ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Athletic Department is launching its We Are New Mexico RallyGive – this time for men’s and women’s basketball! The HoopsPledge is an opportunity for Lobo fans to be a part of gameday action while directly supporting Lobo student-athletes, including assisting with their relocation costs as team relocation has become necessary to prepare the Lobos to take on this season.

No Matter Where We Play, We Are New Mexico

Through the HoopsPledge campaign, Lobo fans are able to pledge a set amount to the Lobos based on on-court performance. New pledge options to support the men’s and women’s basketball programs include:

Support via One-time Donation

  • $54 for the 54th season at The Pit
  • $154.11 – attendance when The Pit is sold out
  • $505 – the Lobos will represent New Mexico no matter where they play

Road Warrior Pledge

  • Pledge per win away from The Pit
  • Options include $1, $5, $10 or an “other” amount

Lobo Offense: Made 3-Pointers

  • Support each triple!
  • Options include 50¢, $1, $2 or an “other” amount

Lobo Defense: Steals

  • Support the Lobo D!
  • Options include 50¢, $1, $2 or an “other” amount

Crushing the Classroom

  • Pledge for each student-athlete that posts a 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Options include $1, $5, $10 or an “other” amount

  • About those ROAD GAMES:
    • Last season the Lobo women’s basketball team played 15 games away from The Pit, coming away with six victories.
    • Last season the Lobo men’s basketball team played 15 games away from The Pit, coming away with four wins (the Lobos were 15-3 in The Pit).
  • About those THREES:
    • The 2019-20 Lobo women’s basketball team racked up 254 3-pointers on the season.
      • This year’s Lobos return 72% of that 3-point production.
      • In head coach Mike Bradbury’s tenure, the Lobos have averaged 247.25 3-pointers per season.
    • The 2019-20 Lobo men’s basketball team racked up 230 3-pointers on the season.
      • This year’s Lobo squad is packed with newcomers, returning just 28% percent of the 3-point production from last year.
      • In head coach Paul Weir’s tenure, the Lobos have averaged 293.67 threes per season.
  • About those STEALS:
    • The 2019-20 Lobo women’s basketball team amassed 333 steals as a squad.
      • This year’s Lobos return 63% of that steal production.
      • In head coach Mike Bradbury’s tenure, the Lobos have averaged 280.75 steals per season.
    • The 2019-20 Lobo men’s basketball team collected 267 steals as a team.
      • This year’s new Lobo squad returns just 18% of last year’s steal production.
      • In head coach Paul Weir’s tenure, UNM has averaged 244.00 steals per season.
