Lobo Baseball to hold Alumni Game on Feb. 8

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico baseball team has announced that it will hold an alumni game at Santa Ana Star Field on Saturday, February 8 beginning at 1 p.m.
 
There is no admission to the game, and it will be a great chance for Lobo Baseball fans to get their first look at the 2020 squad before they open the season the following weekend in Surprise, Ariz. for the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic.
 
“This is a great event that all alumni who have participated in over the years looks forward to,” said Joe Romero (Baseball Alum, 1991-93). “We take the motto ‘Once a Lobo Always a Lobo’ seriously and have a saying amongst ourselves (alumni) that we work out 364 days of the year to get ready for this one game!”  
 
2014-18 alum and freshman All-America Danny Collier echoes the sentiments of Romero. “The Lobo baseball alumni game is always a great time for past alumni to catch up with old teammates and former players and also to meet the new and current players. Coach B is really good at keeping the Lobo baseball family together and the alumni game is an example of that!”
