ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico is pleased to announce today a multi-year partnership granting Affinity Licensing the exclusive rights to manage the University’s trademark licensing program, effective July 1, 2020.
“We are excited to partner with Affinity Licensing,” said Dave Williams, UNM’s Deputy Director of Athletics. “Affinity’s collegiate licensing division is continually expanding, and the chance to serve as a major institution under their banner will allow our department and our fans to reap many benefits.”
As part of the agreement, Affinity will act as the exclusive licensing agency to manage the university’s consumer products licensing relationships with manufacturers and retailers. The university will have access to innovative technology and processes that allow for better brand protection, as well as leverage Affinity’s retail and merchandising expertise to expand product categories, launch new products and grow retail distribution.
